ecause Tom and Emma encourage total relaxation and separation from the outside, there are no televisions or phones in your room, and no reception desk. There is nothing within eyesight that would remind you that you are staying anywhere but at the country home of friends.
The sitting room is a comfortable blend of inherited objects and those acquired by the Innkeepers for the bed and breakfast from talented artists in nearby Dillsboro, NC. A balustraded staircase comes right into the room, as is often done in the smaller English country homes. The windows were left without draperies and light floods the high-ceilinged room through the tall east-facing windows.
Upon entering the dining
room, the first thing seen is a flower basket containing
what Tom calls the “catch-of-the-day” from the Inn’s
garden. Large windows allow plenty of light, so that even on
a cloudy morning this is a cheerful room in which to enjoy Emma’s
